Balaton Sour Cherry (Prunus cerasus Balaton) - 12/25 trees will be available during the first hour of the event first come, first served.
The Balaton Sour Cherry is a small; ornamental; fruit tree reaching 12'-18' tall and 10'-15' wide, and is moderately difficult to maintain. This tree grows at a moderate rate, growing as tall as 12'-18' in 20 years, and reaches its mature height and width after 10-20 years. This tree requires full sun and moist; well-drained soil.

Moonglow Pear (Pyrus communis Moonglow) - 14/25 trees will be available during the first hour of the event first come, first served.
The Moonglow Pear is a small; ornamental; fruit tree reaching 8'-15' tall and 8'-15' wide, and is difficult to maintain. This tree grows at a moderate to fast rate, growing as tall as 8'-15' in 20 years, and reaches its mature height and width after 20-50 years. This tree requires full sun and moist; well-drained soil.

Celeste Fig (Ficus carica Celeste) - 6/25 trees will be available during the first hour of the event first come, first served.
The Celeste Fig is a small; fruit tree reaching 15'-30' tall and 15'-30' wide, and is moderately difficult - must wrap in winter to maintain. This tree grows at a moderate rate, growing as tall as 8'-15' in 20 years, and reaches its mature height and width after 10-20 years. This tree requires full sun and moist; well-drained soil.

Red Anjou Pear (Pyrus communis Red Anjou) - 18/25 trees will be available during the first hour of the event first come, first served.
The Red Anjou Pear is a small; ornamental; fruit tree reaching 8'-15' tall and 8'-15' wide, and is difficult to maintain. This tree grows at a moderate to fast rate, growing as tall as 8'-15' in 20 years, and reaches its mature height and width after 20-50 years. This tree requires full sun and moist; well-drained soil.



What will I have to agree to if I want a tree?
  • I will plant my tree in the ground and care for my tree according to NYRP guidelines.
  • I will plant my tree in the ground on property I have permission to plant on that is within the 5 boroughs of New York City.
  • I grant NYRP and Urban Garden Center Llc rights to take and use photos and videos of me and all parties that come to the event with me, including minors, without compensation.
  • The information I provide can be shared by NYRP with Urban Garden Center Llc for follow up about your tree and outreach.
